RG 53-7 consists of the case file of the Duluth, South Shore and Atlantic Railroad vs. the state of Michigan. This action was brought by the Railway Company to restrain the Attorney General and the Michigan Railroad Commission from compelling it to put into operation the two cent rate of fare provided for, for all Upper Peninsula Roads, by Act 276 MPA 1911. Includes memoranda relating to the valuation, construction and condition of the Railroad and public utilities; history; annual reports; indexes to proceedings; reports and statistics of appraisal; apportionment of operating expenses; lists of land involved; exhibits of the court; and list of cartographic exhibits (blueprints).
